Sunday School Opportunities
Our regular Sunday School program beings on September 16, 2007.
There are many ways in which you can help with the children and the
youth of the parish. Help us give our children and you an exciting,
interesting and fulfilling year!
-
Be a
teacher or an assistant or a team leader.
We welcome all levels of teaching ability, but do require a
genuine affection for young people. Curriculum and guidance are
provided.
-
We need
substitute teachers.
These special people who are ready on short notice and have a
good time with a class in need are especially valuable to us!
-
Help with
special events.
During the year we host Stir-Up Sunday, the Epiphany Party, a
Lenten event for children and families, the Graduation
Breakfast, Vacation Bible School and other fun intergenerational
events. We need "crafty" people and helping hands.
-
Join the
Christian Education Committee.
This group meets on the 4th Thursday of the month and plans
events for the Sunday School, recruits helpers, and makes policy
for the Sunday School. We have been a small but hardworking
group for years. We hope to welcome new members for new energy
and new ideas. Talk to Susan Parks, Chair, or Patty Nordyke,
Sunday School Superintendent, for more information.
-
Be a part
of the group beginning the 20 minutes that begin our Sunday
School session.
We need people with ideas about games, activities, songs and
other fun ways to expand on the work begun last year when we
started a "trip around the world" learning about
the children of God in other lands.
There
are many ways in which you can participate in the education
ministry of our children. If nothing listed twinkles your toes,
then come and let us know what you would like to do. We welcome
ideas and suggestions!
